Choir

The Bishop Blanchet Vocal Music Program includes four choirs: Treble Choir, Bass Choir, Vocal Ensemble and Jazz Choir. With over 75 students involved, the Vocal Music Program is a flourishing part of the BBHS Arts Department.

TREBLE CHOIR
The Treble Choir is a beginning-level ensemble that provides treble voices (sopranos and altos) an opportunity to build vocal, sight-reading, and music theory skills. All new-to-BBHS choir singers should enroll in Treble Choir before earning successful placement in Vocal Ensemble or Jazz Choir.

BASS CHOIR
The Bass Choir is a beginning-level ensemble that provides bass voices (tenors, baritones and basses) an opportunity to build vocal, sight-reading, and music theory skills. All new-to-BBHS choir singers should enroll in Bass Choir before earning successful placement in Vocal Ensemble or other ensembles.

VOCAL ENSEMBLE
The Vocal Ensemble is an intermediate-level choir, open to students who have previous singing experience. This group gives students the opportunity to build their singing and music skills in a large ensemble setting.  This choir meets during 0 period.

JAZZ CHOIR
The Jazz Choir "Common Time" is a select group that participates in various competitions and jazz festivals all around the Northwest. They regularly attend the DeMiero Jazz Festival in March and travel to compete at competitions and have exchanges with other schools. This choir consists of up to 16 singers and a full rhythm section with drums, bass, piano, and guitar.
